Know The Difference Between Healing And Miracles… It Will Strengthen Your Faith

6 And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all things in all. 7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal. 8 For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit: 9 to another faith, in the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, in the one Spirit; 10 and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each one severally even as he will. – 1 Corinthians 12:6-11 (ASV)

There are many things to share in this passage of Scripture, but I’m going to talk about healing and miracles. And I hope that this will be beneficial to you. Everyone has the ability to have faith to believe in healing and miracles. However, God gives some the gift of healing or the gift of miracles. These gifts, as all gifts, are for the one who possesses the gift to use to help and strengthen others. Let’s say a person is a new believer, with a terminal illness, and they desire to be healed, but their faith isn’t mature enough to believe for complete and total healing from that illness. The person with the gift of healing can intercede for that new believer. If that person had to wait for their own faith to be mature enough they’d probably die. It’s not God’s desire for us to only rely on the person who has the gift. He wants us to study His Word and become strengthened ourselves.

As for the difference between Healing and Miracles. When you are healed, your body will recover naturally. When you experience a Miracle, God is using His Power to supernaturally intervene above and beyond natural law. For example, you have the flu. You command the flu to leave your body and you command your body to recover. If you’re healed, it may be a few days before your body recovers. If you receive a miracle, you’ll see evidence of the healing immediately. This should be a great encouragement to you and a booster to your faith. Because many times, if we don’t see the evidence right away, we think “it didn’t work”. We question or doubt our faith. But the moment you prayed and received your healing by faith, the flu was killed at the root. Think about the fig tree. The moment Jesus cursed it, the root of the tree died. But the evidence wasn’t seen until the following day. Don’t lose your faith while waiting for the manifestation. Maintain your confession. The enemy is going to try and make you doubt your healing. But if you understand the difference between a healing and a miracle, your faith will not waiver. You may have to speak to yourself. Remind yourself that you’re healed. Re-read the passage of scripture concerning the fig tree. Encourage yourself. And know that you are healed.

Be Blessed and Have a Fantastic Day!
