Did you realize that most of what we worry about never actually happens?
Of course, there are times when unfortunate situations in life happen and we have to deal with them. But if you’re honest with yourself, most of what you’re fearing is related to a future event. For instance, you have a car payment due in two weeks and you don’t see how you’ll have the money for it. So you begin to worry. You’re fearing missing a payment and having your car taken from you. You’re stressing over an event that hasn’t happened yet. So bring your thoughts back to today.
Today you have a car. Today it hasn’t been repossessed. Today it’s getting you from point A to point B. Stop worrying about something that may never happen. Prepare for tomorrow but don’t worry about tomorrow. What I mean is this. You know you have a car note due in two weeks. What can you do today so that when it’s due in two weeks you have what you need? First things first, you establish within yourself that God cannot lie. And His Word says that He will supply all of your need according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. He knows you need a car. He knows you need transportation. And His Word never returns to Him void, but it accomplishes what He pleases and prospers in the place where He sent it. So if you believe that in your spirit, then you can turn your attention back to your situation at hand. Your car payment. You talk to Him about it and you place it in His Hands. You trust that He’s already worked it out for you.
The God Who created the universe by speaking it into existence, can certainly handle your car payment. So relax. Enjoy your day. Drive the car. And know that when the day your payment is due, all will be well. He’ll move on their hearts and allow you to make a payment arrangement. Or, out of seemingly nowhere, you’ll “find” the money. Or you’ll get to work some overtime. Or He’ll let them take the car and bless you with something that’s more affordable and within your current means. My point is, if it’s in His Hands, then it will work out. Maybe differently than you’re anticipating or even wanting. But it will work out. You don’t have to worry. Live for today and prepare for tomorrow. Not worry about tomorrow.
We reap what we sow. So today, sow great seeds, so tomorrow you can reap a great harvest. Bottom line… if you want to stop worrying about tomorrow, then sow time with God Today.
Be Blessed & Enjoy Your Day!
