It’s More Than Possible…It’s Inevitable

What’s inevitable, you may ask? Your victory in life! But we know how God works.   While He promises us amazing blessings in His Word, they come with conditions. If you do this… then I will do that…

So, what’s the condition for inevitable victory in your life? Check out John 15:5 – 11 (AMP)

I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me (cut off from vital union with Me) you can do nothing.  If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a (broken-off) branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned.  If you live in Me (abide vitally united to Me) and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine. I have loved you, (just) as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love (continue in His love with Me). If you keep My commandments (if you continue to obey My instructions), you will abide in My love and live on it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on in His love. I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.

Let’s look at this for a moment. Jesus tells us that He is the Vine and we are the branches.  In the natural, when branches remain connected to the vine, they are fed and they grow and produce fruit.  Branches do not take a time out from the vine.  They don’t decide to jump off and come back at a later date.  No, they stay on the vine.  When they fall off the vine, they no longer have life.  So they die.

Jesus is telling us we’re the same.  When we stay connected to Him, when we abide in Him, we have life. We are fed by God’s Word.  And so we grow.  We produce fruit.  If we take a time out, we lose the connection with Him.  And our spirit will begin to wither and die.

Oh, but when we are connected!! Whew! When we decide to abide in Him.  When we decide to make the Vine our home, not just a place where we stop by on occasion, we will see transformation in our lives.   As Gloria Copeland says it in her book, To Know Him, “He was instructing us to make that place of dependency and communion with Him our permanent dwelling place.

He’s very clear with us when He says, “If you live in Me (abide vitally united to Me) and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.”

And He tells us why He wants us to “ask whatever you will”.  He says it’s because: “When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.”

He tells us what to do, He tells us how to do it, He tells us what we can have when we do it, and finally, He tells us why He wants us to do it.

When we are connected to the Vine and the fruit of the Spirit is flowing out of us, our hearts desires will align with God’s will for us.  And God always watches over His Word to perform it.  And His Word NEVER returns back to Him empty.  But accomplishes what He pleases and prospers in the place where He sent it.

So, establish within yourself that God cannot lie.  That His Word is true.  And that the thing in your life that seems insurmountable, with God, it is not only possible, but inevitable that victory is yours.

I am not a prophet, minister, evangelist, etc.  I’m just a woman who has a heart for God and desires to grow in the Word.
